Elspeth Rushbrook

Writer, Artist, Composer, Script and Proofreader

I'm a poet, playwright, screenwriter and novelist as well as writing many reviews and articles, including for the Artist's Bill of Rights

My new website for my pair of novels is here. I am in print!

My first novel is available to buy!

I so far have chosen not to put my work here as I write under different names and having it online counts as publication, which often precludes further publishing and competition winning.

Further information and examples can be given to those with a professional interest

Some successes:

I was shortlisted (in the top 5) for the national Ronald Duncan Playwriting Prize 2014

I gave readings (and musical performances) at Olive's Poetry, Norwich in 2013-15

My poem was chosen for the Colney Woods Burial Park brochure, published August 2012

My short play was chosen for performance in the MAD festival, ADC Theatre, Cambridge 2011

I have many published reviews for a variety of websites and magazines, such as Flickering Myth

I was selected for inclusion in United Press's Whisper on The Breeze poetry anthology 2010 and received other invitations for subsequent publications

In Nov 2010, I was the guest essay in Jane Austen's Regency World magazine (issue 48)

I wrote the cover article in issues 6 and 10 of Norwich based Fine City about medieval Suckling Hall and medieval undercrofts

I was made reviewer of the month by Wozzon listings site in July and Nov 2009

I wrote for Cambridge Film Festival 2008-9

I wrote an article for the Churches Conservation Trust 2008
